Editor layout couldn't be loaded? Even on new project.

The editor layout could not be fully loaded, this can happen when the layout contains EditorWindows not available in this project
UnityEditor.WindowLayout:LoadDefaultWindowPreferences() (at /Users/bokken/buildslave/unity/build/Editor/Mono/GUI/WindowLayout.cs:40)


I am getting the above error and I couldn’t find any solution.
This issue persists even when I create a completely new project.

The funny thing is bokken is not my userspace.


Any solution for this? I am not able to move the game object on the scene view because of this error. This is the most obvious error, but it might be affecting something else too.

Yes, happens to me a lot, new projects, updating old projects, etc.

Sometimes it’s solved by closing the project and reopening it. If that doesn’t work, I close the project, then completely delete the Library folder, then re-open, it it will re-build the library. Usually that takes care of it.

VERY frustrating.

This error is killing me!!! I have this all the time. The last time I clicked something wrong in the appearing popup window and my complete project was reset and files lost.

Guys, are there any updates on this?

I’m getting this “error” in the Unity 2019.4.13f1 version and even in the Unity 2019.4.17f1 and got also errors while loading the project, beacuse all Layouts were losts. Hope they’ll fix soon
