Editor Not Downloading Editor application Download failed: Request timeout

The error is not going away, I updated windows, reinstalled unity hub, cleared the cache and temp folders, restarted my pc, tried installing older versions, running it as administrator and NOTHING. :[
I do not know what to do, if anybody knows please let me know.

Timeout usually indicates the connection to the download server is interrupted.
Unless this is explained by a low quality internet connection (ie mobile, satellite, or simply low speed / shared with other users ie hotel or student dorm wifi) it could be a firewall or proxy preventing the download. Especially if you have antivirus or “internet security” installed, disable that. Windows Defender is more than enough, and far less intrusive, it can however also have firewall rules that prevent downloads.

Note: you should not run the hub or editor as admin.

Well, I disabled Antiviruses, and I have a wired Ethernet connection, I already tried using a different network. I also have trouble updating windows if that helps

In the sense that either a) your Windows installation is corrupt and may not be getting security updates and is prone to attacks or b) your Windows installation has already been compromised by malware that ‘defected’ updates so it can stay there for much longer.

It’s unfortunate but a broken Windows update, if none of the repair instructions out there fix the issue, should result in an immediate clean re-install of Windows and all applications. Fortunately, this is fast these days, and with a little prep work (go through all regularly used apps and try to find an “export settings” option) it is also not that time consuming to restore previous ease of use of the system.

install unity hub 3.4.1 do not update the hub install the editor and stuff after downloading update the hub
