There are basically two problems;
-
When scaling the screensize in the editor the textures change from sharp to blur.

When wanting to take a screen shot (using a multiplier), the 3D art stays sharp, but the UI somehow just get blocky and scaled up.
Why does this happen and how can I fix this (see screenshots)
It’s based on the size of your game window. One easy way to get ui sharp in editor is to have your game window separate from the main ide and enlarge it to full screen. Just let it float behind the main interface.
Yeah well the problem is not that I cannot ever get it sharp.
But I want to make screenshots for ios (in all different high res sizes), and I need to upscale this from a smaller editor window.
The UI in this case just get ugly upscaled, plus in the editor a lot of screen sizes just look ugly/blurry as seen in the images I uploaded above.
How can I ever generate a high resolution ipad screenshot (for example) from the editor (multiplier doesnt seem to work for the UI, and in the editor it is somethimes just ugly by default…)
(on the devices itself it looks fine, but I dont want to make screens that way, takes way too long)
Are you using scaler on the canvas set to physical size?
nope its set to screen size
