Educational license but a commercial project

Hey,

sorry the topic was hard to search so I didn’t find anything helpfull.

Is it allowed to write a programm with a non commercial eductional license, then release some alpha builds with the watermark let player play it for free. And as soon as you want to release it and earn money buy a commercial license or is the “act” of creating the game allready against an educational license?

As its not sure if the game will ever be sold, a commercial license would be expensive.

The license I talk about is this:

As long as the watermark is there and as long as you’re not making money off the game using the student license like this is perfectly fine.

Okay thanks. Yes thats the plan let the watermark in and if the players say hey the game is cool I would spend some money for it. I would buy a license and release it commercial without mark.
