Hey guys I’m using the hdrp and can’t figure out how to make real-time emission work, I check the real-time box in the material but nothing changes.
When you enable real-time emission in material, choose some color and then you need to check your objects in hiearchy as static. Then Auto-Generate lighting in order to bake it.
If it’s static I won’t be able to use physics, right?
No. but if you want to let’s say one cube to be dynamic then you add light probe. Extrude the probes a few times in every direction and genereate lighting again.
Baked lighting will affect dynamic objects.
Thank you for all your answers. The reason I needed this was because I was making a tv with a render texture and wanted to make the light change intensity based on the visuals on the screen. I ended up just making an area rectangle light face outward from the screen and set its cookie to the render texture, that worked perfectly.
Thanks again and God bless you good sir.
