Empty compile errors when there aren't even any scripts

On my project, there are 5 empty errors that contain only the timestamp. These do not have any reason to exist, as my project does not have any scripts yet. The errors block me from entering play mode, making Unity unusable.

I have tried:

  • Double checking that all dependencies are installed (they are)
  • Restarting my editor (it didn’t help)
  • Having a friend open it on Windows (the errors were not there, showing that it’s an issue with Unity and not my project)

More info:

  • Ubuntu 19.04
  • Unity 2019.1.7f1 Personal

I would really appreciate it if anyone knows a workaround, this makes it literally impossible to use Unity.

Note that Ubuntu 19.04 is not officially supported.
However, that error was already reported in a few threads, you can find a temporary fix there :
Thread Empty log errors and thread unidentifiable errors .
