Empty frames in particle system?

I want to deliberately add a few empty frames to the end of my particle system. How would I do this? I’ve seen other looping particle systems that fade out near the end then start up again. I’d like to get the same result.

Try using the bursts property of the emissions module. It looks like you can set your burst count to act as a ramp over time, which would have a similar effect as rate over time emission, and the interval property is basically a delay between when each burst begins.
