Empty scene but low fps

From some moment I noticed that my game became slower than it was. I started to delete objects from scene to see where is the bottleneck, but even with empty scene i get only avg 45 fps on ipod 2g. It was normally 60 fps earlier in the same situation. It means that this problem is connected with scene/project settings or so, but I almost haven’t changed them.

The other question is that: do disabled objects affect performance? I have 2 scenes and when I disable everything on both of them they still have different frame rate.

What does the profiler say?

We saw a similar issue when optimising our latest project, and eventually managed to track it down to no camera currently being assigned.

It appears to drastically affect framerate (culling, clipping, etc.), even on empty scenes.

HTH

If you have a low quality setting, it may affect the maximum frames per second that your game will run at.

Check Edit->Project settings->Quality. Having it set at “Simple” was forcing our game to run at 70 fps instead of 200.

So many years later and this comment just saved me from ripping my hair apart! Turned out I had V-Sync set to “Total FPS Obliteration of DOOM”. Edit->Project settings->Quality->Other->V-Sync Count. Turned it off and went from ~30 fps to ~470 fps.

Same as Alexander, lol v-sync was removing 200 fps from my scene. Thank you!!
