Emulating tegra performace without a tegra device?

I have a few different games in concept stage and tryign to figure out which one to go with . I do have a droid x device uses sgx530 gpu, 1gz ti cpu and 512mb. i want droid x to be the minimum specs to run my game but i really want to push tegra 3 and certainly tegra2 devices.

My question is since I don’t have a tegra device would staying in the ps2/xbox polygon count range a good general rule? tegra 2 is capable of 70 mil triangles per sec. i think the would most likely plce tegra 3 in the 150-250 mil per sec range. what is the texured polygon count some of you android devs use in your 3d games?

Nothing goes about a real device to test. There are no emulators or anything and you can’t compare smartphone/tablet CPUs with PS2 or Xbox.

oh, no i’m not asking about emulators. I’m trying to can get a rough estimate on the amount of polygons, lights, textures etc. i can use so my game would be available to a broad range of users and devices. and sure thay can be compared to consoles with smart phones/tablets. consoles are hardware afterall. That Is what humans do. we compare things.

Not that I know of. Your best bet is to grab a “bad esn” Droid X2 off ebay, you can get one for around $150.
