Endless Loading of Assets on Mac in v 4.1.2f1

I did a clean install of Unity 4.1.2 on OS X 10.8.3 (including deleting the preferences).

When trying to create a “New Project” and selecting two “Pro Only” libraries (yes it’s a pro license),
Unity will begin creating a new project but will endlessly load and reload assets from those libraries.

I see the same FSAO and other full screen image effects shaders being loaded over and over and over.

Anyone having this problem?

Do you work from an external SSD drive ? That caused my unity project to reload endlessly.

that’s interesting. i’m using an Internal SSD with the system on it and am trying to create the project on a normal external harddrive.

It can’t be that it’s just external could it? or are ssds just too fast for Unity? :slight_smile:

same problem,I using mac os and my project is on Parallel Desktop (Windows)

I can’t tell you what the root issue is but Unity on mac cannot handle loading assets from an external drive. You have to copy it all over to your machine to prevent the endless load issue.
