Hello, i am looking for something that can create cool environments,
I used World Machine, L3DT Pro and so on,
The problem is, the heightmap works but the textures i use get messed up, like not sharp and overlapping each other in a loop.
Is there any tutorial or do you guys have any tips about it?
Thanks!
What do the splatmaps you generate from world machine look like?
Thats the problem, i only get the Heightmap output >> This is how my World Machine looks like
The problem is, i cant add the splatmap thing on it…
You need to get some slope and height selectors shooting off from your height nodes to capture that data, and then hook them up into an bitmap export.
There’s a few macros actually that will do that for you up on the site, if you want to look up exactly how they’re built out.
That sound not that easy:P
Ah, it’s just a different way of working, it’s a HUGE time saver in Unity though ( not having to paint the terrain from scratch.) You could also look into Terrain Composer as it has a few things that will automate the splatmap process ( but pretty sure it will take you longer than doing a few splatmaps in WM.)
Like i said, take a look at their site, the available macros that are not included in the default WM install are worth their weight in gold

I probably dont get it cuz i started WM yesterday
@luckie12 I sent you a PM.
For everyone else; what Autarkis said is correct you really need slope and height parameters. Personally I like to use a height chooser, and then mask that into the slope. I will post a screen shot of my workflow when I am able to get back onto WM.
