Epic takes the fight to Unity with Unreal Engine 4.6 release

Unity doesn’t need to be worried.

With a new lighting engine Unity has addressed it’s biggest concern from a marketing standpoint.

Once the shinies and pretty scenes start being pumped out in Unity 5, people are going to have to take a much deeper look into which engine will be right for them.

Uh oh…

That’s for sure.

BTW you know you are posting to a forum and not twitter or etc. You are making a lot of these threads (checked when you made the rage thread earlier) that have zero content, attention magnet titles, just one link and one line of random comment…

My understanding has been that 4.6 is one of the more buggy releases Unreal has had to date.

Isn’t this, like, four weeks old news?

We can talk hours and hours about Unity and Unreal but sadly not exist information of real number of users and companies that pay the licenses, WIP projects and jobs for each engine, i work with Unity Free but when Unreal can publish to webGL (oficcially) possibly I will be migrate to Unreal.

Yea, kinda knew that but I appreciate the reminder.
Thanks.

You actually might not need or want to with U5 due soon.

As far as WIP there are quite a few finished games in the Unity gallery.

Good luck with your project.

He isn’t the only one either. @Arowx is also doing it regularly.

Yes. Plus it isn’t really much of an article but rather a re-post of the release notes.

It’s meant to facilitate discussion.

Threads don’t have to start with a short story or a novel.

If you don’t want to participate in the discussion I would suggest not posting in it. You have a choice.

What discussion? You’re giving a link to an article that is almost a month old that is little more than release notes. Those who are interested in Unreal have already seen them and those who are not will merely skip over this thread.

There is no point to start threads which have nothing but a link to another site. If you create new thread at least make sure it will have some value. Your post could have been a reply to old UE thread because you did not initiate any proper conversation.

The value is in the discussion that follows.

I guess I could have cut+pasted parts of the article but
it is enough that people know how to click.

Again please note
“If you don’t want to participate in the discussion I would suggest not posting in it. You have a choice.”

You’re saying you have nothing of value to contribute? I do believe we figured that out.

Lock or delete the thread please.

Done with the amateur lynch mob. Have fun.

Discussion

Remember how I stated earlier that Arowx is doing largely the same thing? If you observe his threads you’ll note he at least tries to add some value beyond merely taking the lazy route with a copy/paste.

What discussion when your original post had short statement and second post by you was zero content meme.
