So I started using unity and managed to get the free version working at last, (though i noticed this same issue in unity pro demo). It seems quite often that the UI in the editor will stop refreshing it’s render, for instance clicking a button will not act as such (similar to simply clicking a image of a button.) after minimizing and re-expanding the UI refreshes and works for a while, (and shows that the button was indeed clicked, but didn’t actively update it.) Biggest issue I see is that this problem seems to occur at least once every 5-10 seconds (it seems) in the light-map editor.
Hope this explanation is useful,
Alex
bump, happening on a regular basis.
What version of the MacOS? What is your processor speed? How much memory? What type of processor? What else do you have running while you are working in Unity? Basically, just looking for what your environment looks like.
I’m not having any issues on my mac. running 10.5.8
Also, it’s been 2 days since your initial post. bumping twice already? Sheesh.
running mac 10.6.4 on a 2.66 GHz Core 2 duo, 4 gigs of 1067 MHz DDr3 ram chrome is running along with msn, and monodev.
Figure I submit what I’ve found out so far. I’ve noticed the error occurs most often when the unity window isn’t selected (in foreground), and the act of moving the window seems to refresh the interface. I’m still trying to find a consistant means of triggering the issue, and will post once i have.
