Recently I became such a nuisance, I created a model in Google SketchUp and ordered him to .3 DS model I then recorded with the Unity 3D textures and when I put it into the scene and missed cuts the model down, etc. ![]()
nothing ?
If we knew what that even meant, we might be able to help you.
My English is probably very bad: (
eng: missing cuts the model
The meaning still isn’t really clear (to me, at least). Maybe you could try explaining the problem in different words? Or better yet, maybe you could post a screenshot showing what the problem is.
Looks like your triangle winding isn’t consistent, and/or you haven’t modeled both sides of the surfaces in your model. (If you want the surfaces to be visible from both sides, and if you want the lighting to be correct, it’s probably the latter that you’ll want to do.)
So how to fix that model? Is there a program?
Yes, it’s called Google SketchUp
You can find some info on the topic here, here, here, and here. (For more info, just search for e.g. ‘sketchup two-sided’.)
(Disclaimer: I’ve never actually used Sketchup myself, but based on what I’ve seen online I’m assuming it’s somewhat similar to other modeling programs, and that therefore the problem you’re describing can be fixed in much the same way as it can in other modeling programs. For what it’s worth, the links I included above seem to substantiate that assumption.)
Thank you!
