Error when loading scene (SerializedFile.cpp)

i’m converting a Unity project to run on iphone. when i try to load the main menu scene for my game, i get the following in the console and execution stops:

position - info.byteStart != info.byteSize (Filename: /Users/build/builds/unity-iphone-1.5/iphone-1.1/Projects/…/Runtime/Serialize/SerializedFile.cpp Line: 760)

i’ve seen mention of this in some different contexts in the forum but no resolutions posted. is there a resolution for this or a known setting that i need to change?

try to reimport all assets.
