My father activated the unity software with his account. But after that when I import asset from Assets store, it asks unity account. I gave it my unity user/password. And also selected remember option. Due to this i am not able to import asset from asset store. How can I re-login my asset store(remove the remember option) ?
And also I would like to activate(change) the unity with my account instead of my father account. Is it possible ? If so, pls advice me with steps. I tried with reinstall, but failed.
I had this problem before i 've solved it by open assest store in the normal browser then try to download and accept the eula and then when i tried to download from unity it worked @shilesh
Unity seems to require that you log into the asset store from a “fresh” unity install to verify that you are a bona fide unity user. In other words I believe your suspicions about the cause of your problem are correct. I suspect one solution to your problem is to install unity on a machine somewhere and log in with your account. Another approach might be to find out where unity is storing your father’s details and get rid of them (maybe). Alternatively reinstalling unity on your machine will probably work. (The first step worked for me, the other two steps are guesses).
(This problem happens a lot for linux users running wine because there’s a bug in the asset store display so we can’t see the asset store and we can’t log in. The solution for linux users is to install unity on a windows machine somewhere and log in to the asset store once there, then your linux install should work. Some dude named dusty monk worked it all out. At that point you can download assets by typing their details into the search bar of the project window - the asset store website is completely unusable on linux).
