error with engine

Unity 3d is not working. Every time i open it is says unity editor has
stopped working windows is looking for a solution. When I check it after
waiting, It says that the program will close. Can you please debug it.
In case you would like to know, my computer specs are as follows:
I7 haswell processor
nvidia geforce 2000
1 terrabyte of space
windows 8.
can anyone give any help as to what i should do

POX Says: I just tried the “-force -d3d11” solution without the space in the middle and it seems to have fixed my issue, although I have an Nvidia GeForce GTX 770M, not the Intel 4000 GPU.

  • Right-click on the Unity shortcut.
  • Click on Properties.
  • In the Target: field, after the last double-quote, add " -force-d3d11"
  • Hit Apply, then run Unity.

Should look something like this:
“C:\Program Files (x86)\Unity\Editor\Unity.exe” -force-d3d11
