Waiting on the Unity fix for Xcode 4.3.1 so that I can release my iPad 3 game as close as possible to the release of the iPad 3!
Anyone know the ETA???

What is the problem with 4.3.1?
xcode 4.3.1 causes unity to rant that you removed the splash screen and then crash at startup, but it may only be on unity ios basic because of the new splash screen requirements for the new ipad
Just bumping this up. Am in the same trouble as the rest. Also, somehow xcode 4.3.1 got installed on Snow Leopard (10.7.3) altho the net tells it works only on Lion
Will this be fixed in the hopefully imminent 3.5.1f1 release?
10.7.3 is lion
My bad. Still, the issue with xCode 4.3.1 persists.
Please, any information is hugely appreciated, iPad3 launches ON FRIDAY
iPad3 launches tomorrow. Apple is highlighting retina enabled apps. PLEASE let us know at least when we should start expecting this HUGE fix! I paid $400 for the iOS add-on before it went free and now I can’t even use it…
The powers that be are asking about making our game work on iPad3.
So, to get my facts straight: Xcode 4.3.1 is required? Which means OSX 10.7 (Lion) is also required? Is Unity 3.5 required or will 3.4 suffice?
My current setup is XCode 4.2 on OSX 10.6.8 (Snow Leopard) with Unity 3.4.2.
Thanks.
This is only indie version right? Can anyone confirm Unity iOS Pro working with 5.1 and Xcode 4.3.1
Looks like i have to upgrade to pro cause i am on a tight deadline and cant afford to wait.
I’m curious about this myself. I have Pro and want to test on iPad3 ![]()
Pro works fine because you are allowed to have custom/no splash screen. It’s only an issue in the basic licenses where you’re not allowed to alter the splash screen.
Right – I just want to confirm that’s the only issue.
exactly the situation I was in a few days ago. Tried to downgrade Xcode to 4.3.0 but things were getting squirrelly so I upgraded to pro and the problem went away. Working well with Lion now and Unity 3.5
Just be careful with System.Console.Write*, and make sure to test on non-development devices!
See this thread:

Does this problem occur only when building using Xcode 4.3.1/SDK5.1? Or does it still happen on iOS 5.1 regardless of which Xcode/SDK you built with?
My issue disappeared with XCode 4.3.0… for a day, then magically returned. Currently doing other non XCode stuff to stay busy.
Hi All,
Is it possible to publish my game to app store which is built with Xcode 4.3.0? (4.3.1 is not working for me. I have non-pro license)
yes 4.3.0 works fine
