Before even beginning to evaluate Unity Transport one obviously has to install it. Let’s see how to do it. This thread points to this page, which does not exist. What a great start.
Let dig a little more. This manual claims Unity Transport can be installed via package manager after enabling preview packages. This is a lie, you won’t see Unity Transport in Package Manager (2020.3 version btw), regardless of enabling preview packages.
In order to install it you need to add com.unity.transport via “Add package from git url”, and only then you will see it in Package Manager.
How do I know it? Some random third-party website mentions it. Nothing in the official sources says so.
Way to go, unity. Who knows how many people gave up at the installation phase and just used some another, easily downloadable network solution instead, so no wonder there is not much of a feedback.
