Everything appears more saturated after Unity upgrade from 2023.1.7f1 to latest

Hello, after upgrading Unity from 2023.1.7f1 to 6000.0.14f1 I’m finding that my game looks a little more saturated and darker. I’m trying to narrow down exactly what build it changed in, so far I’ve determined that it happened before 2023.2.20f1. But it’s a very slow process installing different versions of Unity and importing my project, so I’m hoping someone out there will have had the some problem and can help.

I posted about this earlier today but my post was deleted with no explanation, I don’t know why. I can’t imagine that anything in it would have broken community guidelines. So, if you saw the earlier one, sorry I’m not trying to spam you. If you have any idea why it got deleted, let me know.

Here’s some comparison screenshots. It might seem a small difference but I would like to get to the bottom of it.

2023.1.7f1:

6000.0.14f1:

I haven’t changed anything apart from upgrading Unity. I’m using the deferred renderer, not URP or HDRP. I’m not using HDR. My color space is set to Gamma.

I’ve determined that the change happened in patch 2023.2.0f1. It’s not present in 2023.1.20f1. A number of patch notes in 2023.2.0f1 mention SRGB, maybe something to do with that.

Previous post has been reinstated so going to mark this one resolved.
