This is my Unity project that I’ve been working on for quite a while now. I’ll let my devlog video do most of the talking for me, but essentially this is an HD2D game in the same vein as Hyper Light Drifter and classic Zelda games.
My inspiration for the game is actually from a very challenging part of my life when my son was diagnosed with cancer and how my family’s life got flipped upside-down for a few years thereafter. He’s fully recovered and doing well now, but I’m a slow processor and a firm believer that some of the best art and creative expression comes from trauma, so Evie is my way of both processing, and expressing my own emotions.
Here’s my first devlog that gets a bit more into the meat and potatoes of the development process:

My steam page is live here: Evie on Steam (steampowered.com)
I have a gameplay trailer on the page plus additional screenshots and some gifs if you’d like to see more of the game in motion. Please feel free to wishlist it if you’re interested as well
Here’s my second devlog where I get more into narrative and story telling without any in game dialogue:
Here’s another devlog that’s a bit more nerdy than the first 2:
It’s very awesome! It’s great how you made 2-D and 3-D work together. It’s sweet.
