Example Project - Panoramic Video Support (2D/3D 180/360 Video)

Hi everybody,
This example project is meant to grant you easy access to a basic 360º video setup, utilizing Unity’s newly added panoramic video support.

This project includes two scenes featuring short panoramic video clips. One being monoscopic, the other being stereoscopic (3D).

To get started, simply download the project via the link below and open it in 2017.3. Load one of the two scenes, hit play and enjoy. VR is supported.

I haven’t downloaded this example, but I am curious if the improvements in the VR video system make it any easier now to handle VR display of 180 degree stereoscopic video in various formats?

Yes, stereoscopic 180º support has been added as well. The setup is the same as with panoramic 3D videos but instead of ‘360’ you select ‘180’ as the image type of the skybox material.

Thanks for the example project.

Strange choice for example video though, isn’t it? There’s a lot of sudden motion. It will make the viewer nauseous?
