Examples of movie textures?

Can someone point me in the direction of any games, or video demos that convey the quality of Unity’s movie textures?

I’ve googled it with no success.

Thanks in advance.

quality? like you watch any video on your PC… you can change quality inside Unity editor!
Make new project and try:

Thanks for your reply.

It was my understanding that you had to have the pro version to use video textures.

Also since a texture can be seen at different angles and is subject to different lighting, etc–I was hoping to see some real world examples in existing games…to see quality and possible performance penalty.

If you have me a movie you would like to check I can build you a webplayer to test it.

Alternatively, you can activate the 30 day Unity Pro trial and do it yourself.

Generally, movie textures are just that, movies drawn to a texture to then be rendered on your model, so the “interaction with the rest” behavior is the same as with any normal texture.

The rendering itself has some performance penalty as the ogg theora needs to be decoded and streamed to the texture naturally.
