Experiences so far on porting Demon's Rise from iOS to OS X

Just thought I’d shared what I’m doing in my port of my iOS title, Demon’s Rise, to OS X / PC standalone build. So far seems to be going well. I’ve had to update the controls / UI to move from touchscreen to keyboard / mouse. I’ve also modified quality settings to get a better look. Lastly, I’ve added better image effects … Ultimate Bloom and the new Unity ToneMap Cinematic effect. The result is really great so far. Here are a couple of comparison shots between iOS and OS X / PC:

The OS X version is more realistic due to the image effects and there are some cool features like higher poly characters as well as persistent corpses, which are hidden on iOS.

What do you guys think of progress so far? Any other suggestions for adding more graphical shininess to the OS X / PC build without heavy rework?

Looks excellent, though the UI still looks rather mobile-y. Some of that is probably the virtual joystick, or at least I assume that’s what the green arrows are. It seems like that could be removed. The UI should also probably be scaled down somewhat, since it’s kind of huge on a normal screen.

Thanks for the feedback. The virtual sticks for camera control are usually off by default but can be enabled in the options menu. I agree that they’re not needed on PC / Mac format.

I’ll look into scaling down the UI as well. Hopefully I can do that with just a simple script.
