Exported fbx/material from 3DS Max is gray in Unity

Hello,
I’m fairly new to materials, so I probably messed something up along the way.

Originally, I had a .3DS file and a .PNG material of a tongue. I imported the .3DS file and UV unwrapped it and then dragged the material into the material manager and then the material onto the tongue model. At this point, the tongue looked like this:

Following this, I exported everything as FBX (I tried exporting using Game Exporter as well) and I was provided an FBX file that I dragged and dropped into Unity. The mesh looks good, but it seems like my material is gray and I’m not sure why. Any help would be appreciated.

Still unsure of why I am receiving this issue, any thoughts or suggestions would be helpful. Thanks!
