I’ve made a small VR scene for an interactive demo we’re making. We need to get the framerate up, so we decided all the background trees should be images. What I’d like to do, since I’ve got them placed the way I like, is to see if there’s a way to hide all the layers that aren’t the bg trees, then export them as a long image or 360 image, then map them to to the inside of a sphere in Maya and port them back in as a picture or skybox to save processing power.
Is there a way to export images out of Unity to do this? If it not, what are some suggestions instead?
