Anyone have any clue how to export a model with bones out of unity?
I’ve found some pretty good resources for just exporting the meshes, just nothing on how to include bones.
Background: I’ve set up a pretty bizarre work flow. Basically taking a set of primitives in Unity, rigging them up for proper physics performance. Then exporting them out to modeling software to convert to an actual model.
This sort of set up allows me to ensure that my finished models will conform well to the physics set up I have. And for this game the physics is significantly more important then the appearance of the models.
If I can’t get this to work I’ll switch back to a more traditional method of model generation and just figure out a way to make it work. But I’m curious if anyone else has had any luck exporting proceduraly generated models with bones out of Unity.
