Exporting to iPhone for Non commercial games?

Hi everyone!
I would like to develop non commercial games for my own iPod Touch, but I dont want to pay $70 for the developers package just to test and play non-commercial games on just mine. If i jail break my iPod Touch, will i be able to export unity games to it without them going on to the app store or me having to pay?
Thanks,
Aliasmk

As if anyone would offer you support and help for illegal activities, sorry, no chance.

:by the way

  1. its $99 / year to apple for development on the hardware and you cant get around that if you ever want to debug your stuff at all
  2. You seem to have forgotten the $399 at least to UT for the Unity iPhone Addon

I’m sure once he figured out how to get around Apple, he was planning on finding a way to get around paying for Unity iPhone.

If you live in the states jailbreaking is no longer illegal. Also, you no longer need to go through apple, however, there’s nothing stopping apple from banning you from the AppStore.

… and jailbreaking is only used for legitimate non-commercial homebrew activities. /s

Take a hike buddy.

I never said that and I didn’t say that I was for it, just that it wasn’t illegal. I can also agree with kenlem and Dreamora’s sentiment.

A friend had to do it to roll back from iOS4.

I see you may have mis interpreted me. I said non-commercial games. Tests. Not on the app store. I have no intention of doing anything illegal with a jail broken iTouch.
Sorry if i offended anyone.
