Hello, everyone, m glad to join the family here, and I think I need you help.
m using Unity 2.5
I had a intergrated graphic adapter nVidia GeForce 7025, it works fine in Unity 2.5. Because its poor performance in Gaming, so I purchased another ATi Raedon HD5670 to play SC2 and Dragon age.
But I don’t know what happened, under Unity 2.5, it ran soooo slow (below 20 fps), and if I display “Game” tab seperately, it’s run slower, lower than 10fps…
I’ve already upgrade my ATi driver to the latest one. And I tried to re-install Unity. It’s not working. Still increditibly slow.
P.S: Is it related to the PhysX driver?? But I think in GeForce 7025, the PPU is not in it, just like Raedon 5670…
Please help… Under the situation, I am unable to create anything like this.

Why are you using version 2.5, the current version is 2.6.1?
Unity does not offer any PhysX hardware support, so no not related to that.
chances though are that you for example didn’t cleanly disable it in bios or didn’t uninstall the nvidia drivers correctly in the secure mode of windows and thus get backfires now
Tried to uninstalled the driver for GF 7025, but it still run very slow. I think maybe OS have some error? But for Dragon Age, Maya and many softwares, they are fine under ATi HD5670, only Unity…
And I updated Unity to 2.6.1, still slow.

Did you ensure that the gf (assuming its onboard) was disabled totally in bios with your new hd5670 being the primary card.
My motherboard can not shut the integrated GF7025 completely. I can only able to set the priority of HD5670 higher than GF7025.
But I disconnect the VGA cable from GF7025, and connect HD5670 via DVI.
Strange board that offers you a pcie slot but no way to disable the integrated one.
if thats really the case I would check if going to the system control - hardware manager and disabling it there helps you
where you connect the screen to has not the least impact unhappily

After I switch to HD5670, in the hardware manager you only able to see HD5670. M think my motherboard (Asus M2N68-AM Plus) disabled the integrated GF7025.
thats very well possible (and a partially good thing)
but it still sounds like the nvidia driver flaps in.
Did you run the driver cleaner you can get from guru3d.com for example?
dreamora, thanks for helping me. But I figure it out.
I think my anti-Virus software or firewall software have some conflict with ATi Driver. so when I using ATi card, it give me poor performance. After I turn it off, everything is fine.
