I tried adding the external lightmap tool to Unity 3 and when I click on window, it only shows lightmap, and not External lightmapper. Help?
Unless he’s updated it, chances are it’ll have a few problems with Unity 3. You don’t need it though, model your scene in Max, separate objects, don’t make the entire level a single object. Create your second UV’s however you see fit that best suits your level. Render all the lighting to the textures, save the scene as an fbx and import, if you’ve done it all right it’ll import as separate objects inside the fbx and with the UV’s intact and will be all lightmapped and pretty looking.
