hello,
it cannot export because you do not have UV map for this object. There should be a “open” button somewhere that opens up the file in max. From there you make UV maps for the model and just save it with unwrapped modifier on top of it.
After that you can try again the export scene button and it should open the max file again where you can bake lightmaps.
Hope that help.
hi,
i have already done this and it it still coming up with the error.
thanks
then maybe something is still wrong with object-s UV?
I would suggest to take a step back to find a solution for this problem. just create a cube and plane. Very easy to make UV maps for them. Then move them into Unity and try to export scene from there. If you still got the same error then the problem must be somewhere else.
I suggest you to go trough this video (plane and teapot) you can find it here
Go trough the same steps as the author does. Maybe it will help you out.
This is because you’re using either to less or too many objects per lightmap, try rearranging them. This error occurs when packing efficiency is below 50-60% or when an objects get less texture area than 4 pixels
Hello ranza,
I’m having the same problem here, but I don’t know how to fix it. I have researched all over the internet and the only thing that always came up was something about normalize map, but I don’t really know what it is. Can you explain again how can I fix this issue, please?
thanks!
