Hi everyone,
Everything (seemingly) works fine, except this step:
“Open the checked out project with Unity by launching it while holding down the Option or the left Alt key. Opening the project will recreate the Library directory in step 4 above.”
Launching unity with the left alt key in Windows just opens the shortcut properties window. I tried opening the project in Unity holding the left alt key and the Library folder is not recreated. Anyone know how this is done?
Thanks!
Andrew
The document ( http://unity3d.com/support/documentation/Manual/ExternalVersionControlSystemSupport.html ) is a bit ambiguous in its phrasing.
“Open the checked out project with Unity by launching it while holding down the Option or the left Alt key. Opening the project will recreate the Library directory in step 4 above.”
The second sentence isn’t dependent on the first - opening a project with no Library will immediately rebuild the library, without having to do anything special.
The Library is necessary internally to Unity, but Unity will generate the library from the meta files in the ‘Assets’ directory and the files in the new ‘ProjectSettings’ directory - those are the only two that you need to link to SVN.
