Application.ExternalEval(“window.open(‘www.google.com’, ‘google’)”);
however this does work :
Application.ExternalEval(“history.back()”);

Have you tried specifying a new blank window? Are you sure this isn’t being blocked by a pop-up blocker? If the eval call to history.back() is working then clearly communication is happening, anything after that is up to the browser so start your investigation there (hence the above questions).
thank u a lot higgy for all help. I really appreciate it.
it was a popup blocker indeed!!
but something strange is happening:
the popup contains the path to the html containing unity content + “\www.google.com” appended rather than “www.google.com”
i then tried Application.OpenUrl(“www.google.com”); to find it open in the browser the path to the folder containing the unity page + “\www.google.com” appended
Tip: use full URLs only, don’t rely on “www.whatever.com”, slap that “http://” in front to be safe.
