Extremely low quality terrain w/ screenshot

Why by default is the terrain infinitely worse then a quad? it simply makes no sense…The wrapping for quads works better then a terrain…

Oh to give details, I have the terrain “smaller” then the quad and it still looks this bad no matter what I make the tiling information. Terrain simply just doesn’t know how to use textures correctly it seems. I think the problem has to do with wrapping. It looks like terrain is just stretching instead of tiling the texture like the quad is.
