I am trying to open unity4 and it gives me the following message: “Failed to update license…” When I try to update manually it saves an .alf file but when i try to load the license its looking for an .ulf file. I gather this is an type error from the programmer who made the open dialog so I go for all files and load the .alf file. After that it says the license load was successful and resume loading Unity, but it fails again and gives the “Failed to update license” message and the whole thing starts all over again.
After upgrading to Windows 8 I am in this loop, too!

As for me i solved it by replacing the f3 version i had with the latest version , f5.
