I’ve been using unity for applications and games for awhile. About a week ago, I got the error of “Failed to update Unity Web Player” (A newer version of Unity Web Player is required, but the auto-update failed. Failed to apply auto-update. Please install manually.) on one of my games. I thought this was a bit odd given I could still load/run all other unity apps and games except this particular one. I wanted to play the game again, so I did the manual install, installed as admin, and went through the whole process. Still nothing. It still tells me to install manually. Over the past few days the problem started to occur with other games as well, and now happens for every single application I attempt to use that runs on Unity.
I’ve tried googling the problem but from what I’ve seen a whole lot of people get this problem and have been for a long time, some fixes work for some people, others don’t, and the general consensus is “We don’t know.” I would really appreciate some help, thanks.
