I just got an HTC One M9 and when I try to build my game my game i get the error: “Failure to initialize! Your hardware does not support this application, sorry!”. From other people who have this problem it seems like if your processor isn’t NEON compatible Unity apps don’t work. I didn’t think I would have a problem like this on such a new phone. Does anyone know if the Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 is NEON compatible and if not is there a workaround to this problem?
You could try using a different rendering path; check also texture compression (build settings) and quality settings: there must be something uncompatible.
According to the docs, you effectively need a NEON processor; but the HTC ONE M9 has a ARM Cortex A57 (thx google) which does supports NEON (a new version though source).
I think it is a problem with core unity and that you can’t really get around it
In my case also I needed to to check “force internal” instalation now everything works !
I’m on a samsung galaxy core prime and i had this problem with a game and i tried to go to google play store and try to load it and it didn’t work so then i went to application manager and cleared the cache and then i moved it to device storage and then moved it back to sd card storage then i went to the play games application a tried to launch it from there and then it worked. I hope this somehow helps!
