After posting a thread about my first Unity 3D game project, i received good feddbacks ! (thank you guys !)
So I continued to develop my Multiplayer Shooting Game Porject ! And the bêta version is now finished and on internet !
Fake Fade is a online multiplayer shooting game, where players are crates in a crate warehouse. The fight has begun ! Kills your opponent using Gun, Machine Gun and Telekinesis (who never dreamt about throwing barrels to other’s face ?) and feint them using the Fake. The map is your friend, use it to hide !
Four events can make the game harder or easier for players :
Raising Lava
Shining players in dark
Crazy time
Mirror mode
Controls are mentioned in the game. A pack of 6 extra weapons will be release.
More players is always fun ! Tell your friend about it if you enjoyed !
The game will be referenced on Youtube, The Games List, and maybe on Unity Official Website (and Unity forums )
If you have any idea of referencement, please tell me
And comments, feedbacks , ideas or suggestions are wellcomed
I played it , and I must say, I liked it. I had some problems with the zoom function after chatting and I was wondering sometimes (what are the chips for ? Funny though) , but overall it was appealing . Being a cube in room of cubes made me laugh more than once . The style reminds me a lot on Quake 2 , but thats cool. Well done tense, good music and visual feedback .
Nice too see a bit different FPS .
Btw, did you use Unity built-in networking for this ?
Interesting idea, but in my opinion, it will be more fascinatingly to play against human like creatures, instead of crates. And to keep this idea of stealth, you can add some sort of invisibility, or ability to hide in shadows or/and ability to create phantoms of yourself.
I’m happy you liked it Oxl, it was nice to play with you online ! Yes, my initial idea was to make an original FPS, because i love FPS (my favourite is Bioshock/Bioshock 2) but I didn’t want to do a classic FPS, I wanted something that captures the FPS player’s eye (can i say that ?).
I must say that the built-in Unity networking help me a lot ! But the only script i fast copy/pasted was the Chat script. I made my own networking system which is, probably, easier but not as strict as the built-in !
I don’t want to make players be a creature Mid because my game is built on the crates concept, and I find it funny ! So the complete version (with 3 maps) will still be on a crates concept. I hope you’ll still like the complete version !
