Fallout NV in Unity 6?

Can Unity 6 do a game sim to Fallout New Vegas?

yes … … … … why?

I havent seen many FPS RPG’s made with Unity…

I mean FPS and RPG aren’t the important parts there. The open world aspect of Bethesda games is the most technically challenging part of their games.

When you throw in the particular way their AI systems work, there isn’t an off the shelf engine that can do that as far as I know.

Mind you, going back to Morrowind, that was using an off the shelf engine (sorta) of which was heavily modified, and technically still is to this day.

So you can do the same: start with an off the shelf engine, buy source access if needed, and modify it to achieve your technical requirements.

if one wants rpg + fps that can be done just buy one of the rpg assets that has all the functionality to keep track of progression, levels, enemies, everything and obviously an fps assets. Check the item documentation and find one that has integration available. But learning all this takes a lot of time and you need a solid unity knowledge to start with

The example of FalloutNV is tricky because that one gives you the tools to modify the game and that is and was the strongest point of elderscrolls fallouts games. I’ve first approached the world of game development by learning how to create mods Morrowind. Fun times.

if you want that functionality of modding that is not easy at all.

as for fps + rpg there are tones of them on steam made with unity.
