Today I made one of my rare system scans for viruses and, guess what, Avira found 3 troyans all marked as TR/ATRAPS.Gen inside UnityWebPlayerUpdate.exe, UnitySetup-3.1.0.exe and UnitySetup-3.1.1.exe
Is all of this happening just on my PC or what is it all about?
Hi,
AVG just reported this very same malware detection on my system. Is this anything to be concerned with?
no problems on my side with avast, maybe your antivirus woke up paranoid today and giving you false positives…
We are aware that Unity files are picked up as viruses by some scanning software (we thought it was mainly a problem with Norton but it could well be a problem with Avira and others too). If you’ve obtained those files from Unity then I think you can safely regard this as a false positive.
