Based off a fanfiction I made a year ago, this 2D fighting game is going to be the first game I’ve made. Currently, the story plot need some cleaning up and some changes (see the story of the same name on fanfiction.net ). The character roster is completed, but there are some concerns (I’ll post the roster list later on). MUGEN, Marvel Super Heroes, Marvel vs Capcom 2, Skullgirls, and Street Fighter 2 Turbo Hyper Fighting are going to be the main templates and reference for what mechanics would be in the game.
The story sets around the multiverse theory, the concept of virtual reality, and a few ideas of my own. It’s about an aggressive and ambitious demigod named Vrile Pryus and his conquest to unifying universes for “the sake of salvation.” As his conquest expands and ravages each universe, only a great few must stand up against the unholy cause.
Right now, I am looking for animators, artists, and programmers that would offer to help me out in completing this game. I might also be looking forward to making a group called “Union Corporation International” to help make sequels to this game and maybe make other games.
so, you have a half-cooked idea that involves stolen mechanics and characters from other established IP. You cant doing anything, but you have great ideas… or something.
I’m being overly harsh. But that’s no reason to give up. Get some skills, make a basic game. If you CBF doing that, then sure give up. Game dev in not easy. It can be un-rewarding. Finishing anything can take a long time.
When you figure out the nuances of game dev, come back and try this all again.
Keep in mind, we are all here trying to make the game we want to make. If you want people to help you make your game, you have to be extremely passionate about it, and most importantly, able to contribute. If you dont want to learn to code or make art, Game dev is not for you at all.
Well I do have the skills, but I still have a lot to learn. Your still being slightly harsh with that abbreviation of “CBF” and the “giving up is an option” thing. I know how to code and I know how to make art, so just give me a chance to just show it!
But seriously, how do I delete this thread? I was thinking of moving it to it’s correct section.
You should open with that sort of information! glad to hear you can bring some skills to the table. The reason I was being over harsh is because ive been here along time. Ideas guys pop up a lot. Ideas guys are fine, except when they bring nothing else to the table.
Dont worry about deleting the thread. It will slink away into history on its own.
