[FATAL BUG] Unity Hub + Collaborate

Hey! for a while now me and my team, also a couple of other teams I know haven’t been able to use Unity Collab.

The error I’ll describe has been highly reproducible on the following versions of Unity:

  • 2019.1.2f1
  • 2018.2.1f1
  • 2018.0.3f2

And Unity Hub 2.0.1

What happens is: When trying to download any projects uploaded to unity collab in these versions from the cloud, you’ll be greeted with this error:

And the project will be EMPTY.
Thus, making collab useless.

Has anyone had this problem before? Anyone from Unity’s team care to explain, or help solve it?
I know at least 24 developers having these problems. For now, I’m using gitlab, but it’s really a pain.

Hello! Could you please submit a bug report with all the relevant information and the project which causes this behavior?

Sure thing! How do I do that? also, every project causes this behavior.

It would be best if you could submit the report after you just reproduced the issue, to ensure that all related logs are saved and sent for further investigation.
