Hi Unity community, I’m getting a very inhibitive fatal error on a current project. I tried to send a bug report but that too crashes, with the big red error: “error occurred while creating an archive. Error code: compression failed.”

While working on a new game, fatal error pops up and basically forces Unity to quit/crash. Whilst the whole of Unity was working a bit before, suddenly it’s giving a fatal error after a long day of working at least 6 hours pretty much nonstop. After using other seemingly inoccuous/normal features fatal error occurs. Then ->Tried to save: fatal error again. Fatal error is: dataOffset != file.GetPosition()
-
No idea how to replicate, it was a pretty complicated project at this point, but it just throws this fatal error now. This does seem to be happening “always” I just have to giev up and quit for my own health at this point, I’m calling it a day but it may be that I cannot make it function any further without getting this aforementioned fatal error.
