Fatal error in gc : too many threads

The Unity stops working after showing the following error message.

This randomly happens in editor and PC build when the system runs for several hours.
It gives no error.log or dmp files and the program just freezes.
Is there a way that we can do to resolve the issue?

The test machine is running on Windows 7 with i5-6500, Integrated Graphics, 8GB RAM.

Getting the same issue. I think i have narrowed my issue down to saving and loading files to much maybe. I’m still trying to work this one out myself as I also have an application that needs to be running for days.


An approach would be using the mono profiler this could collect all informations about your programm on runtime. However, studying it’s documentation is still necessary to get an idea whats going on.
