Somebody help me please!!! It’s GLOBAL PROBLEM!!
Hey FoxUmkov,
Can you put up the player.log file that gets created when you run this webplayer, and give more details about what machines you have tried this on. Would be good to know what GPU you are using, also. Some PCs seem to not like changes to the rendering surface when render textures are used. My prediction is that your webplayer crashes because DirectX is throwing errors, but to be honest, I don’t know that you are running on a PC. Your webplayer runs perfectly on my MacBook Pro, 10.5.8, Safari 4.0.1.
Thanks,
Graham
FoxUmkov: Your unity package seems to be corrupt on my end, but here is a complete project with a Web Player and Standalone build (plus the crash logs) which demonstrate this error:
http://s145256197.onlinehome.us/fullscreen_error.zip
The issue was introduced in 2.6 (all was fine in 2.5.1 and prior), and I was able to replicate the problem on at least 3 different Windows PC’s (no idea if it affects the Macs).
The problem is just as it was described: If you attempt to switch to fullscreen mode in either the Web Player or Windows Standalone while doing a “render to texture” with one of your cameras, Unity generates a fatal error.
Disabling the “render to texture” camera has no effect after the texture has been generated, the fatal error will occur no matter what.
In my opinion this is a very serious problem for all Pro users, since you can no longer switch to full screen mode while rendering to texture.
Inacceptable,
I’m shipping a game today and I encounter the problem.
Luckily, I found this post, but without it, I may loose my hair…
Please, please, please, please !! Correct this bug ! My minimap script uses a RenderTexture and I’ve lost an half day to make it work…
The next update date please ?
I am glad that someone has answered me!
Any way to fix it? patch or new release? Any Solution?
I’m having the same problem ![]()
I´m using a iMac 9.1 with GeForce 9400 running a Windows XP with Boot Camp.
2.6.1 was released last week - check to see if that solves it.
Solved it man… tks
