Hello
I wanted to try Unity in 2D, digitally painting characters and objects. I usually use Photoshop for digital painting, but I was wondering, since the drawings will need to be put in sequence to be transformed into animations, if there’s a better software for that, which provides onion-skinning and all the other useful stuff.
Thanks for any advice.
Cosmigo’s Pro Motion is the 2D animator’s go to tool in the games industry. It is a modern day clone of Deluxe Paint. And yes, it does onion skinning, colour palette reduction, colour palette cycling, and several other 2D sprite tricks including building tile maps.
Very interesting, thanks Justin. Though I’m looking for something more on the “paint” than on the “pixel” side, to use with my tablet and which supports pressure opacity.
