I know .blend files don’t work. But .fbx have there axis wrong as Unity and Blender don’t have the same handed system. I can see no 'rot x90" box in Blender 2.59 - which might fix this. This seems to be a common continual problem; can Unity not simply have an option in it’s fbx importer to deal with this?. Currently I rotate my models 90 digs in Unity
im not sure if this help or answer your ? but to import blender model to unity3d open blender go to file,export and click auto desk.fbx and save then in unity click import assest and go to the save file location from blender and their will be 2 files one with a blank paper ican and one with a blender icon click the blank paper icon
