FBX Import issue

When I try to import some of my more complicated models made in scetchup and exported as an FBX I get this error; “The mesh of Mesh1 has 1 sub meshes but the renderer is using 19 materials. Your mesh should use the same amount of sub meshes as materials.” Any idea what this is about?

Ok so on some models I have found that I need to generate colliders or calc norms, not sure which one worked but it made my model appear!

That fix seemed only to work on one of the models I was having problems with, the other still imports with the mesh saying it as 0 verts 0 tris and 0 submeshes…

NEMAC, I believe that was a bug in Unity 2.6. I fixed it for Unity 3.0.

Can you work with your mesh or is it a show-stopper?

what do you mean? I can work with it in sketchup but I need it to be one mesh when i bring it into Unity.
