i have been working for some time on a project and now i experience the following problem:
after exporting an fbx from max, reloading in unity takes too much time (15minutes).
the same fbx file in a fresh project loads in 1 minute.
where is the problem?
i dont want to assign materials an place trees from scratch.
The problem is that in a fresh project you have just the one .fbx, in a big project, you have loads of scripts, materials and stuff that is slowing it down. If you want to speed your Unity up, then just delete old things you don’t use in your project anymore.
the strange thing about it is, the problem came from one day to the other.
yesterday the loading took 1 minute, today it takes too long. importing the same fbx with an other name as a copy is very fast.
