Hi everyone, I made a character animation using Maya software and I exported it using the Maya plug in for export FBX. I generated the FBX and pasted it on my unity project assets and still can’t see anything around. I’ve read in some threads that deleting the history may help, I made that change but anything is shown when I place it over my unity scene. Still cant see anything… do you know any solution for this? Thanks in advance!
when using the maya fbx exporter use the fbx version 2009 which is the one i use, it runs like a champ. now later fbx versions always have some form of bug. make shure you select on bake animations and if you have textures on it in maya select embed media and the fbx will import the textures too.
now just to be shure i said fbx version not maya version so even if you use maya 2013 or older versions when you hit export make shure you look at the settings. now when it comes into unity it normally comes really small to so make shure to up the scale factor in the import settings inside unity.

Well I tried everything you said but it seems that FBX plug in 2009 cannot run with Maya 2013 version (which I have installed)
By the way I’m using this plug in Autodesk | 3D Design, Engineering & Construction Software
But still have no idea what it is. I have installed it but when I open the Maya software and hit export, there are no options for FBX so it seems that Maya 2013 cannot load FBX plug in…
